Customer charterThe Social Enterprise Loan Fund exists to provide loan finance to charities and social enterprises that are unable to obtain sufficient funding from commercial banks. The Social Enterprise Loan Fund is classified as a Community Development Finance Institution. This Charter complies with the standards set for CDFIs and we also comply with the Code of Practice covering the management and governance of CDFIs (follow this link to read the Code of Practice). 1 Clarity in respect of charges Our advertising material will give an indication of the interest rates we charge. When we make an offer of loan finance, we will specify all initial fees, the interest rate and repayment term. The loan agreement will specify any penalty charges if the borrower defaults and any early repayment fees that may be applicable. 2 Customer service Our aim is to give our clients the best service possible. We monitor the time it takes to complete each stage of an application and strive to make this process as easy as possible. From time to time, we may ask you to let us know how we are doing in meeting your expectations. 3 Advice and guidance after you have taken your loan We will want to meet you on a regular basis to review the progress you are making against your plans. We will agree the frequency of those meetings with you. 4 Complaints If you do have a complaint about our service, please follow this link to see what you should do. |
